By the Grace and Blessing of Allah, the Islamic Information Centre (IIC) and the Muslim Association of Canada (MAC) are pleased to announce to the community that they are in the process of purchasing a property located at 3889 Keith Ave, Burnaby BC. This center would house inaha’Allah the much anticipated Muslim Youth & Community Center that will serve the Greater Vancouver community. It will provide religious and educational social services and programs designed to assist in the comprehensive educational and spiritual development of the Muslim individual, family and community especially the youth, children and sisters.

This property features 20,700 sq ft building with high ceiling. After some internal renovations, this building would be transformed to include large prayer halls; a 5,000 sq ft gym; the gym would also be used in the future as banquet hall; classrooms; meeting rooms, Islamic library and other facilities. The building acquisition cost is $3,000,000. Alhamdulilah, a large portion of the purchase funding is secured, however we still need to raise $550,000 by the end of September 2010.
